pontus Fish & Chips

Best chip shop in the area. Kebabs are the best so fresh tasty and good quality food, fish chips curry sauce. Our local would 100% recommend.

I've been coming to Pontus since they re-opened (before they were Brixham fish bar), and I've always been so satisfied with their food. I would go to say they're one of the best chippies in Coventry. I used to favour another chippy which is round the corner, that actually won best chippy in Coventry, and I now much prefer Pontus. Food is always tasty, piping hot and the service is always great. I've tried a lot of different dishes from here, their mixed kebab is beautiful! Their paneer is extremely tasty, the peppers and onions that come alongside it are to die for. One of my favourites have got to be their pizza, so flavoursome and cooked to perfection, and their garlic bread is the best!! The staff are always so friendly and make you feel welcome. So lucky to live close by to this amazing chip shop. This chippy also offers such a large menu, their food is very fresh and not cheap tasting. I find the menu to be very reasonably priced too!

Ordered for the first time the other day and really pleased with the quality of food that was delivered. I think this will now become my favourite go to chippy! Only one thing I would change is maybe a thinner battery on the fish but other than that really enjoyed.

I ordered a mini finish and chips and a saveloy yesterday and it was fantastic! The chips and curry sauce seemed larger than a small and the fish was amazing. By far the best chippy I've had in ages! I will deffo order again. Thought I'd leave this review here as just eat didn't upload my comments :)

You can't go wrong always a tasty meal

Rarely leave reviews but I really enjoy this place. They delivery to me usually really fast, it’s always hot. You get so much meat/ decent portions for the price (kebabs in particular) and the quality of the meat doesn’t taste cheap. Only criticism is as follows: Next time you close for a month, please put a date when you reopen on the site as we’ve been waiting with no clue! So glad you’re open again! And perhaps a tad more lettuce on the kebabs, that’s the cheap part anyway :)!
